71st anniversary

to mark 71st anniversary of signing of act zluky in 1990, on 300,000 ukrainians created human chain (approx. 482 km (300 mi)) capital kiev western ukrainian city of lviv on january 21, 1990. chain, largest public demonstration in ukraine since beginning of glasnost, funded people s movement of ukraine (rukh) , partly inspired baltic way had taken place previous year. also, first time since period of ukrainian people s republic, blue , yellow national flag raised.
