the student union had been funded compulsory amenities , services fees since 1911. introduction of vsu saw significant loss of fudning union, asf no longer charged 1 july 2006. on 11 october 2011 ssaf introduced led large increase in funding union, though not high in pre-vsu era. in 2014 union allocated under $4.5 million university, or 34% of total ssaf revenue collected.
