founding

founded in 1972 bong-ki han won hwa s origins lie in traditional korean prayer , dance. prayer movements knowned bison(비손) has practitioner moving hands in circular path against 1 if turning wheel. idea represents rotating of yin yang within person s mind , body thereby bringing peace , harmony him/her. won hwa @ 1 point had team performed won hwa dance alongside famous little angels children s folk ballet of south korea.

in 2003 world won hwa federation(세계원화도연맹) officially recognized , supported korean government national martial art. won hwa during time became established in european countries such germany, slovakia, lithuania , united kingdom. won hwa began grow steadily in japan during period. in year 2004, jeon ju(전주) won hwa training center established ryu jae nam(류재남). after bong-ki han s died in 2010 left leadership of world won hwa federation son , other leaders. shortly following passing seoul headquarters closed down , training center in jeon ju became wwf headquarters. since bong-ki han]s passing ik-hun cho person attain rank of great grand master(gold stripe). helped develop, pioneer , create many techniques of won hwa s diverse gongbang(공방) system.

international development

japan s won hwa headquarters in okayama prefecture dojangs exist in several locations across country such nagoya , osaka. across europe, several countries remain active albeit in smaller capacity years of 2000. austria, germany, slovakia, england, lithuania among few countries still teach , practice won hwa do. in order accelerate growth of wonhwado internationally, bong-ki han sent disciples , students abroad learn english whilst pioneering art in countries. germany, slovakia , england direct by-product of time. germany has 3 different dojangs headquarters being in leipzig.
