built in 1993, arena became pba s home after league signed five-year deal pasay city government, includes league s office within astrodome s vicinity. league manages maintenance , marketing of astrodome. during first 2 years, league played of games (except played in provinces) exclusively @ astrodome before limiting schedule tuesday , sunday games, league played friday games @ araneta coliseum in 1995.


in 1999, after agreement expired, league transferred offices , of games philsports arena, pba s home 1985 1992. although league hosted few games @ said venue, not used duration of 2000 season. since 2001, league has hosted decent number of games @ astrodome, including several recent pba championship series games.


it has hosted more 30 pba championship series, game 2 of 2011 pba commissioner s cup finals.


currently, 1 of alternate venues of league, philsports arena in pasig if either smart araneta coliseum , mall of asia arena not available.
