argentina
the buenos aires underground has 4 ghost stations. 2 stations on line 2 single-platform stations closed in 1953 since close proximity meant trains had stop in quick succession , frequencies reduced. opposing platforms, located metres away each of ghost stations, still remain open pasco , alberti stations. stations preserved maintain original appearance , can still seen when travelling on line, being used display time.
on line e, 2 stations closed in 1966 when line re-routed closer centre of buenos aires in order improve passenger numbers. have both been used maintenance areas line e , line c, while 1 of stations served set 1996 argentine film moebius. stations under consideration re-purposed part of new line f, later decided build new tunnels instead.
there 2 stations (apeadero boedo , apeadero carranza) on line e , line d designed used temporary stations while respective lines being extended. though platforms remain, cannot considered true ghost stations since never intended permanent part of network , designed re-purposed electrical substations once permanent stations built.

st. naum station (Станция Свети Наум) , ndk station (Станция НДК) of sofia metro. both stations built in 1970s, national palace of culture , redevelopment of surrounding area. these stations completed , had become operational on 31 august 2012. st. naum station operating under name of european union metro station.

lower bay in toronto. below main platform bay station abandoned level used 6 months in 1966 when toronto transit commission (ttc) experimentally interlined portions of both yonge–university , bloor–danforth lines. abandoned platform referred lower bay general public or bay lower ttc.
municipal building in calgary. downtown subway planned under 8th avenue calgary c-train. in preparation, short section of tunnel , underground lrt station built under calgary municipal building when constructed in 1985. subway plans put on shelf because initial surface line on 7th avenue turned out have more passenger capacity expected. underground station , downtown subway may completed in foreseeable future future c-train lines under construction , proposed exceed capacity of 7th avenue surface line.

libertad station, located in between cumming , quinta normal in line 5 of santiago metro, ghost station closed because there wasn t enough passenger demand station due low density of people traveling around , through it. echeverría ghost station located in line 4a, closed because of low density of people traveling around , through it.
czech republic
hloubětín , kolbenova stations on line b of prague metro ghost stations 1998 1999 (2001 kolbenova). stations in state of suspended construction heavy industry factories should have served closed after velvet revolution. trains slowed down when passing through these dimly lit stations. whole industrial area revitalized stations completed.
národní třída station closed july 2012 june 2014 due construction of new shopping , business centre. trains passed through station without stopping.

rumsey station in mtr. platform reserved east kowloon line proposal in 1970s, in order minimise effects on island line. however, these platforms abandoned , brick walls have been placed @ 2 ends of 60 m (200 ft) long platforms block them off. station called sheung wan , formerly served terminus of island line before opening of west island line. since platforms built upper platforms, passengers going , exit e must pass through abandoned platforms. in preparation opening of west island line extension station renovated, , track area along platforms walled off.

sri rampai station on putra lrt/kelana jaya line in kuala lumpur. partially completed during construction between 1994 , 1999 remaining inactive , mothballed decade after opening of line, ridership via station projected low. completed , opened in december 2010 following new property developments around station.
