the modern museum has 5 rooms display 3 centuries of paris opera s history through paintings, costumes, drawings of scenery, , scale models of set designs. altogether, museum conserves 8 500 objects.


at top of stairs lead museum bronze sculptor jacques gestalder, depicts dancer alexandre kalioujny in mid-leap during performance of michel fokine s ballet les danses polovtsiennes, based on polovtsian dances of borodin s prince igor.
