the wingspan 35–42 mm. forewing drab grey, suffused, except along costa , inner margin, , in oblique fascia-form submarginal area, blackish, veins , folds remaining pale; whitish lunule on discocellular: pale submarginal fascia externally throw s off pale teeth along veins termen, wedgeshaped intervals being filled in black; long black streak base below cell: median vein white, small white spot @ end of cell , minute black point above it: veins whitish black terminal streaks in intervals. hindwing dark greyish, fuscous.
