Tropical Depression 29P 1993–94 South Pacific cyclone season








on april 20, jtwc started monitor area of low pressure located on solomon islands 155 km (95 mi) north of honiara. during day disturbance moved towards southeast , passed on several of solomon islands, before emerging australian basin. on next couple of days disturbance gradually developed further while moving towards southwest before re-curving , moving southeastwards. on april 24, moved south pacific basin, jtwc initiated advisories on disturbance, designating tropical cyclone 29p, peak windspeeds equivalent tropical depression. system classified, recurved again , started move towards northwest, , started feel effects of high amount of vertical windshear. result of windshear, center became exposed , displaced deep convection before jtwc issued final advisory on april 25 29p weakened area of low pressure, before dissipating later day 600 km (375 mi) southwest of honiara.
