in 2009 pires co-wrote, produced , directed film mayor cupcake starring lea thompson, judd nelson , frankie faison. film, shot entirely in delaware, tells story of uneducated cupcake baker becomes mayor of small town. film selected various film festivals , available on demand @ netflix, comcast , showtime.
