upon leaving ride, guests led through building, named pier 13 , situated directly in front of splash pool , above track. boat hits water, wave travels straight towards building , continues on pathway behind. 2 windows of pier 13 building have no glass, presenting opportunity riders wet.

around splash pool several effects such giant water tower periodically releases torrent of water, , sound of organ coming spire of supposedly submerged church. until 2006, effects included damaged gas tank firing large flame approximately every 10 minutes, gas tank no longer operates because cylinders used fuel flame removed make way construction of stealth. other effects nonoperational , have been out of order several years.

amity features comical, fake radio station, named wwtp radio, plays on loop through speakers in area. radio show hosted fictional character big bob jones , plays music era, example elvis presley , beach boys. show features comical news reports, parodic advertisements , fictional competitions.

shops

the area features few food outlets - doughnut shop called amity naughty bites , kebab shop called amity kebab co. (the tidal wave photo unit located directly above kebab shop). small ben & jerry s kiosk located @ tidal wave s exit. in addition, area houses fish , chip shop, known amity fish & chips . there 2 shops in amity beach, thorpe park s largest shop (called thorpe mega store) , in 2007 new shop called amity shop , drop opposite 4d cinema. there tickets , information kiosk next tidal wave s entrance selling fastrack , bounce tickets.

there kfc in area, fits theme looks 1950s american diner. inside, there broken mirrors on walls , ceiling appears damaged tidal wave. restaurant has life-sized shark piece of theming appears have been slammed side of building.

a burger king located within area, , themed, in similar fashion kfc, 1950s diner.

other rides

when tidal wave opened, ride in amity , remained way until 2004. in anticipation stealth, amity area extended towards teacups (a traditional fairground teacups ride). teacups re-themed, cracks painted onto cups , ride renamed storm in teacup . stealth signature attraction in thorpe park when opened , when flying fish relocated in 2007 fitted amity theme. in 2008, time voyagers, new 4d film opened, extending amity towards fish , chip restaurant. in 2011, storm surge, spinning rapids ride opened opposite tidal wave.
