five examples of pattern quintuple stella denominated @ 20 dollars produced in 1879 well. these coins used modified version of current liberty head (coronet) design of double eagle, replacing stars on obverse ★30★g★1.5★s★3.5★c★35★g★r★a★m★s★ , , motto in god trust on reverse same deo est gloria found on reverse of stella.


only 425 examples of stella made. 1880 coins rare; 16 or 17 examples known.
