2006 proved successful year baseball team. on of lot of new blood in team featuring players such scholarship holders jonathon freeston , stephen smith, sydney uni won eastern uni games, defeating university of new south wales mercy rule in final, pick sydney uni baseball s first gold in uni games history. team headed adelaide australian games , went through competition undefeated, emphatic win on monash in final, crowned national champions first time.
