the operation s commander yigal alon. 5 israeli brigades involved: 8th armoured brigade commanded yitzhak sadeh; negev brigade; golani brigade; harel brigade; , alexandroni brigade. task maintain siege of 4,000 strong egyptian brigade @ faluja.


the egyptians had further 2 brigades in gaza area, , 1 more brigade across border near el-arish.
