hms assurance: advisory committee on historic wreck identified sinking 1738, investigation former licensee historic records dated loss 1753, , shown date of sinking in site summary of wrecksite in appendix a(ii) of latest report, although appendix a(iii), list of current designated sites, still shows date 1738.
tearing ledge wreck believed romney, 1 of 4 ships lost on 22 october 1707
rill cove wreck: identity of wreck has not been determined. tentative date of 1616 based on dates of artefacts recovered.
coronation: wreck of coronation thought split 2 sites - kennemerland split 2 sites when wrecked. identity of offshore site (site 17) confirmed finding plate inscribed family crest of captain. identity of inshore site (site 33) more controversial. royal naval guns found on inshore site consistent first or second rate ship of line of correct period , there no other record of ship of size foundering in area.
barthomolew ledges: possible wreck of spanish vessel, san bartholome wrecked in 1597, although vessel not recorded being lost in isles of scilly. wreck late 16th century , carrying lead ingots of spanish type. 6 recovered coins date between 1474 , 1555, hence dating wreck after 1555.
diamond: wreck of type of composite hull , thought diamond. current licensee has identified several anomalies in identification, including wreck appears longer diamond; there discrepancies between samples of materials recovered wreck , listed being used in construction of diamond, , artefacts patented after date of sinking have been recovered.
