in february 2009, msn groups closed make way new windows live groups. communities hosted on old msn groups service can not migrated across new platform. such msn have worked multiply create tool allowed group owners move msn groups community on multiply service.


this move msn , multiply succeeded in killing off large number of msn groups communities. due fact migration process rather complex, creating new group, importing content old one.


this meant existing msn users had re-join new group, , if old community located on msn groups not closed owner after migration process, changes made afterward lost when service closed.
