i translated, gift , power of god, , caused written, 1 hundred , sixteen pages, took book of lehi, account abridged plates of lehi, hand of mormon; said account, person or persons have stolen , kept me, notwithstanding utmost exertions recover again -- , being commanded of lord should not translate same on again, satan had put hearts tempt lord god, altering words did read contrary translated , caused written; , if should bring forth same words again, or, in other words, if should translate same on again, publish had stolen, , satan stir hearts of generation, might not receive work: behold lord said unto me, not suffer satan shall accomplish evil design in thing: therefore thou shalt translate plates of nephi, until ye come ye have translated, ye have retained; , behold ye shall publish record of nephi; , confound have altered words. not suffer shall destroy work;
