carmen has been featured in spanish national newspapers in uruguay highlighting art exhibitions , literary works. in 2005 1 particular newspaper in uruguay featured carmen in 2 full inside pages in color regarding boer book evasion/evasion , paintings. in 2005 carmen held , art exhibition in uruguayan national library there launched book evasion/evasion.


with sponsorship of uruguayan born telmo languiller, speaker of victorian legislative assembly, carmen brought 24 artists , coordinated latin art exhibition in parliament house, melbourne building. historically recorded first art exhibition held in parliament house again in 2004.


in 2003, novoa organised spanish , latin american exhibition of painting, sculpture , ceramics @ wyndham. opened former 27th prime minister of australia julia gillard. exhibition hosted many hispanic , latin american artists. gillard referred outstanding exhibition in letter of praise.


in 2006, novoa received au$1000 grant city of brimbank paint murals on canvas reflect local area, applied uruguayan social club of melbourne unveiling took place amidst celebration music , dance. 2 of recent artistic career highlights painting featured in confluencias, important exhibition latino community in australia held @ treasures of museum of freemasonry in sydney, exhibition made possible partnership consulates of argentina, brazil, ecuador, peru , uruguay. last exhibition fellow lanino melbourne based artists latin american art expressions held @ melbourne s heritage listed building of mission seafarers, non-profit organisation providing support seafarers since 1857.


since year 2000 carmen has studied art under tutelage of robert mangion footscray community art centre attributes success in many art exhibitions.


carmen has authored 2 books. first evasion/evasion bilingual publication in 2004 of spanish poetry english translations beatriz copello. both books available @ national library of australia. second book arabescos published in 2009 of short stories in spanish.
