he first took refereeing in 1988. progressed via wessex league, becoming national list assistant referee in year 2000, , select group assistant referee in 2002. in 2002, assistant referee old division 3 play-off final @ millennium stadium, cardiff, between cheltenham , rushden & diamonds.
