she married rana bahadur shah in 1805. after rana bahadur shah assassinated, queen rajeshwari- acted regent stepson girvan yuddha bikram shah- forced commit sati. such, queen tripurasundari, had not reached teenage, became regent stepson. continued regent until girvan yuddha came of age.


however, girvan yuddha died young in 1819. infant son, rajendra became king. tripurasundari, queen grandmother, became regent step-grandson.


she staunch supporter of bhimsen thapa , prime reason him being prime minister of nepal on 31 years.
