california baptist university joint member of national collegiate athletic association (ncaa) @ division ii level, , member of national christian college athletic association (nccaa) cbu competes in pacific west conference in sports , in 2012–13 university joined mountain pacific sports federation (mpsf) men s volleyball. cbu offers 20 sports (10 men , 10 women): men, california baptist sponsors baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming , diving, track (distance), volleyball, water polo, , wrestling. women, california baptist sponsors basketball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming , diving, track (distance), volleyball, , water polo.


on january 13, 2017, cbu announced begin transition ncaa division in 2018, joining western athletic conference @ time.
